Kukup Trip

It was really cool to travel with 7 other friends to Kukup, Malaysia on our own.



It was a 2 day, 1 night trip which provided me an insight to how simple life could be in this world. P.Kukup is actually a fishing village with 1400 chinese population, located near Indonesia.

We stayed at my friend's aunty place for 75 ringgit for lodging, taking the boat ride, eating seafood, supper with mouth watering BBQ Chicken Wings, playing majong, seeing sunset, visited the mangroove area there etc. It was truelly an unforgetable experience, specially when one see life at Kukup Village was really simple and easy. People rear fishes for living, the lifestyle there was relax which is a 360 degree differ from Singapore.

As we had fun and all, I reflected upon myself..
Indeed, life could be simple yet man made things complicated..
When God created Heaven and Earth, he saw that everything was Good, and he was please with his creation. Gensis 1:1-25

Likewise though the culture, lifestyle in Singapore might differ from Malaysia, take time to think of the high expectations, demands that we set upon our life - our studies, our life..
Do we really need to wear branded items cloths? Live in luxury etc.

As I reflect, living simply, filled with happiness, and joy each day is the greatest blessing that I can ever have.

Living simply is the desire of my heart, what's yours?
