I thought I am and always will be..
Temasek Polytechnic International Students
This is the club I served and learned alot from..
Apart from all the ups & downs that I went through with the club,
my joy comes when I know the welfare of these students are indeed taken care of.
In organising these events, students from various nationality
came together, meT, and some even fell in Love.
This brought me nothing more but smiles on my face and in my heart.
As I contiune to hand over and guide the new coms in their various roles & positions..
I just want to take a step back in ISC, and go for new challenges in Life.
ISC, this is where my love & passion develops.
HOTEL RENDEZVOUS The satisfaction of work comes when you make the day of your guest by talking to them, the compliment they gave u, and basically the tips u receive!! Nevertheless, there is also a set of struggles that one have, which is totally against the vales of God. I am really thankful that I've accepted Christ when I was a kid,
yes, this is the place I first started work at, and now I'm still working there.. The first time I went for an interview, I was impress by the Rendezvous Values. Then I realised that most of TP Chefs came from there..
Filled with all my amazaments I started working at Banquet where I learned de-boning, carrying the over-tray, doing set up, and turn over until 3am
in the morning. I didnt work for long due to my heavy school work, test, projects and exams. The rate of working was so infrequent that my workmate said "I never see you in a thousand years.."
With a gentle smile, I went off..
It was only once when I was on the cab with my manager - Mr Eric
that I told him I was doing a course on Hotel Management.
As he was in-charged of the Palong Bar, he asked me over.
Life at the Palong Bar was miserable, I couldnt do any drinks..
Guest who drinks at the bar was few, and Hours past like years..
I was bored, but the turning point came when I met
Geoffrey, the new manager..
He shared with me his life, his perception & passion for service.
He taught me how to make morktails & corktails..
And I really enjoyed the company of Da Jie & him at the Palong Bar..
Best of all, the amount of tips at the end of the day, on top of my pay!!
There are numerous temptations out there - drinking, smorking, politics etc. I started to know & understand what is it like to be in the wOrld & not of the wOrld.
that there is a God that I can trust and know that he will watch over me.
Life is Good, but it is even better with God!
